Welcome to our union dental practice

a happy boy during his dental appointment

Hi there! We’re so happy that you found us, we love welcoming new families to our practice!

At your child’s initial dental visit, our doctors will take some time getting to know more about you and your child and any concerns you may have regarding their oral health. They will discuss diet, tooth brushing as well as how we can all work together to provide your little one with a lifetime of good dental health.

Depending on your child’s age and what we find during the examination, X-rays may be taken to reveal decay and check on the progress of your child’s permanent teeth under the gums.

If your child is experiencing pain or a dental emergency we will make every attempt to see them as soon as possible.

Please Note:

We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize wait times. However, due to unexpected circumstances and emergency cases, we may fall behind. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Your Child's First Dental Visit

  • When should my child’s first “regular” visit be?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child see a dentist by their first birthday!

  • What should we expect?

The first dental visit is all about getting to know your child and you, as well as addressing any questions or concerns you may have. Our doctors will take some time to discuss diet, tooth brushing and will also discuss how we can all work together to provide your little one with a lifetime of good dental health.

Sometimes dental visits can be a source of anxiety for parents and their children. We strive to make the first experience (and every subsequent visit) a pleasant one for you and your family. Having positive early experiences at the dentist can really help set the stage for a lifetime of looking forward to “going to the dentist”. In fact, many of our current little patients really do look forward to coming to see us!

Depending on your child’s age and what we find during the examination, X-rays may be taken to reveal decay and check on the progress of your child’s permanent teeth under the gums.

We may clean your child’s teeth and apply topical fluoride to help protect the teeth against decay. We will make sure your child is receiving adequate fluoride at home.

  • What should I do to prepare my child for the first visit?

Just let them know that they’ll be visiting the dentist to have their teeth checked! Leave the rest to our staff and doctors. We will treat your child in a manner most appropriate for their age and needs and teach them everything they need to know according to their level of comprehension!
