We believe that every child is unique. With that said, some children truly do have special health care needs.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry defines special healthcare needs as “any physical, developmental, mental, sensory, behavioral, cognitive, or emotional impairment or limiting condition that requires medical management, healthcare intervention, and/or use of specialized services or programs.”
During your child’s first visit to our office the doctor will spend some time discussing with you an approach to care, that may work best for your child. We will examine your child and discuss an approach tailored to your child’s specific needs. Our pediatric dentists have been extensively trained on managing children with varying special health care needs.
